Examinations

The Academy of Music offers testing on a semi-annual basis. These examinations are designed to ensure that the student is fully prepared to go to the next level and are essential to the long term success of the music student. The exams are divided into two parts. The first part is called the "practical", where they will perform songs, scales, and studies geared to their level. The second part is called the "technical", which involves ear training and rhythm tests. The student must pass both parts to receive their certificate. Check with your local studio for specific details and exam dates.

All of our lesson centers are members of the Ontario Music Teachers Guild. The Guild is a non profit organization created to ensure high quality music education by providing  a standard for examinations and performances for all its members.

The Academy has given my son the opportunity to perform in many festivals here in Toronto as well as other locations in Southern Ontario. He has learned to perform in front of small and large audiences. This has given him self-confidence!. – Mrs. Donna Smith
